My name is Stefan Weber.
I am the guitarist for Rage and Scanner, as well as a guitar/music theory teacher and booking agent for various bands. Music has been part of my life since I can remember, starting 33 years ago at age 4. I have played a variety of instruments throughout my life, but after listening to Metallica for the first time I knew that guitar was THE instrument for me.
From that moment on I pretty much immediately wanted to become a musician. My goal clearly in mind I focused and started practicing. A lot. At the age of 17 I began giving my first guitar lessons. After I finished school I went on to study guitar and music business at the Rockacademie in Tilburg, NL. While there, I also took my first steps in the booking world, much to my liking.
I have played in quite a few bands over the years, the longest commitments were with Axxis, Lion Twin and Rebattered. Nowadays my main focus is on Rage and my work as a booking agent. I am also the guitarist for Scanner and DioLegacy. In recent years I did a lot more studio work than in the past, for bands as well as game soundtracks and other interesting projects which you will learn about here on CotD. I still teach guitar, although a lot less than a few years ago, simply because I do not have the time any more.
Because there is a lot of music related things I do that never really had a home I decided to create this webpage in 2020 rather than throw it on social media bit by bit and let it fade into oblivion again.
Here is where teaching will meet guitar nerdiness, new music will meet backstage clips and all kinds of shenanigans I am involved in will have a place to live and breathe.
